Do I need to have computers skills?
Basic skills are required for the installation and use of a Digital Certificate.
Which computers skills would I need?
The following skills are required to use and install the Digital Certificate:
- Open Files
- Be able to differentiate between looking for a file inside a program and browsing for a file through Windows Explorer (not Internet Explorer).
- Be capable to determine the difference between Internet Explorer and other web browsers, such as Google Chrome.
- Have the necessary knowledge to pin-point what an address bar is in a web browser.
- Identify menus.
- Read instructions.
If the before mentioned computer skills seem to be above your current level, asking for help from a more skilled colleague might be appropriate.
Which are the requirements needed to apply for a Digital Certificate, for the first time?
You must visit our offices located in the CIAPR Headquarters facilities in San Juan (members living outside of Puerto Rico are processed differently), comply with the requirements stated bellow, and present the specified documents in order to be able to submit for a Digital Certificate:
- Present your current and valid Driver’s License or Passport.
- Make the payment at our office.(Prices vary by profession). If the person is located out of Puerto Rico, the payment is submitted through our Payment Gateway.
- Present a valid and original Certificate emitted by the Board of Examiners (Department of State) stating that you are a licensed professional.
IMPORTANT: Your professional license must be valid with the Board of Examiners (Department of State). You must be up to date with your Professional Association’s college and organization.
Failure to comply with these requirements will hold the Digital Certificate processing until they are met.
I want to renew my Digital Certificate. What is the process to be taken?
For renewals, the procedure is as follows:
- Pay the renewal fee using any of these two methods:
- Office: From 9:00 – 12:pm and 1:00pm – 4:00pm Monday thru Friday. Payments accepted in Debit or Credit cards(Visa/Mastercard/ATH only). Cash (exact change if possible) or Check(payable to: DTE, LLC.
- Online Payment Gateway: Visit our RENEWAL page to make your payment online.
After the payment (either online or office), Wait for an email notification from noreply@dtellcpr.com, confirming that your Digital Certificate is ready for use or ready to be requested through our website.
REMEMBER:Your professional license must be valid with the Board of Examiners (Department of State), and have an active membership with the college of your profession.
Failure to comply with these requirements will hold the Digital Certificate processing until they are met.
